Dignity belongs to everyone.
Est. 2016 — a promise kept to Mom and Dad
MOMDAD Foundation is a non-governmental, non-profit and non-political humanitarian organisation serving the poor, needy and vulnerable worldwide — regardless of religion, race, nationality or gender.
It began at a kitchen table that fed the whole street.
Nadia and Karim Rahal grew up in a house where no one was ever turned away. Their mother taught at the local school; their father cooked at the market. Between them they had little — and somehow always enough to share. When their parents died within a year of each other, the siblings did the only thing that made sense: they kept the table open.
In 2016 they registered a small charity in London and funded the first forty food parcels from their parents' savings. They named it the only thing it could be named. MOMDAD is not an acronym — it is a promise, kept every day, to two people who believed a stranger at the door was a guest, not a burden.
A decade later, that kitchen-table conviction runs programmes in 35 countries: emergency relief when disaster strikes, daily meals where hunger lives, homes for the displaced, water and skills where they change everything. The scale has grown. The rule has not — need is the only qualification, and dignity is non-negotiable.
Our parents never asked anyone where they were from or what they believed. They asked if they had eaten.
To relieve poverty and suffering by delivering food, shelter, education, healthcare and emergency aid to vulnerable communities — efficiently, ethically and without discrimination.
A world where every person — whoever they are, wherever they live — can meet their basic needs and live with dignity, opportunity and hope.
The values behind every decision
They are not slogans — they are the test every programme, partnership and pound must pass.
Ethical
Open books, honest reporting and integrity at every level of the organisation.
Humanitarian
People before politics. We respond to suffering with compassion and urgency.
Universal
Aid given freely to all — no condition of faith, flag, gender or origin.
Accountable
Every donation is tracked, audited and openly reported to those we serve and those who give.
Sustainable
We build lasting capacity, not dependency — helping communities stand on their own.
Community-led
We listen first. Local people shape the solutions we deliver together.
